The Dalles Chapter of The Gorge Heroes Club Sends Care Packages To The Oregon National Guard

Toothbrushes?  Check.  Toothpaste? Check.  Neck coolers? Check.  Freezer pops? Check. Squirt guns? Check.  Wait, stop!  Squirt guns?

You read that right!  The members of GHC'S The Dalles, Oregon chapter met last Thursday evening  for our monthly box packing.  This month, GHC decided to send a "little fun and relief from the heat" to the 150 members of the Oregon National Guard 3-116th CAV Alpha Unit that GHC supports.  The unit is deployed to Iraq and reports are coming in that the summer heat has hit and the sandstorms have begun.

Special thanks goes to GHC'S Card Team member Daphne Blanchard for her beautiful creations! This particular card is going to Oregon National Guard unit member Warren Webb who is stationed in Iraq and member of the Alpha company from The Dalles, Oregon.
